Despite pressing hard early in the window, it appears that French club Monaco have cooled their interest in Inter left-back Dalbert Henrique. Instead, the club have turned their attention to Milan’s Ricardo Rodriguez.

According to Premium Sport, the Swiss full-back is the first alternative for the French side if they cannot secure a deal for the Brazilian.

The report cites French sources from RMC Sport which suggest that Inter are offering a loan with an obligation to buy. This is in contrast to reports in the Italian press which state that the Nerazzurri would be willing to release the player for a loan fee of €3 million, and include an option to buy for a further €24 million.

It was a difficult season for Dalbert at Inter who failed to establish himself under Luciano Spalletti. Indeed, the Tuscan manager preferred D’Ambrosio, Santon, Nagatomo and even Joao Cancelo to the Brazilian who dominated Ligue 1. In all, the player was limited to only 14 appearances for the Nerazzurri.
