Despite the previous agreement between Inter and Atalanta to let central defender Alessandro Bastoni remain another season on loan with Gianpiero Gasperini in Bergamo, Sky Sport Italia’s transfer market guru Gianluca Di Marzio reports that he will join the Nerazzurri from Milano this summer.
According to the report, Atalanta have decided to sign Inter’s Primavera central defender Davide Bettella for a sum of €7 million who won his second Primavera Scudetto title this past weekend with Inter. Di Marzio reports that Inter have negotiated a buy-back clause in the deal as well as having been able to convince Atalanta to part ways with Bastoni one year earlier than previously agreed upon.
Now Inter have to decide whether or not to hang on to Bastoni and keep him in the first team or to send him out on loan to a team where he will have a bigger chance of playing first team football. According to Di Marzio, Inter could be persuaded to do the latter as both S.P.A.L. and Sassuolo have expressed an interest in taking the youngster on loan.
