Sky Sport Italia’s transfer market guru Gianluca Di Marzio reports that during the negotiations concerning other players, Inter and Sassuolo have discussed the possibility of former Nerazzurri Primavera player Alfred Duncan returning to Milano.
According to the report, the Nerazzurri are interested in resigning the Ghanaian midfielder, born in 1993, given that he fills the criteria set up by UEFA regarding homegrown players in the Champions League. The player was part of the Inter youth team set up between 2010 and 2012 before being promoted to the first team following success in the Next Gen Series as well as the Primavera Scudetto title, helping his side, who was coached by Andrea Stramaccioni, win both titles during the 2011/2012 season.
Duncan only featured 4 times for the Nerazzurri first team before being loaned to Livorno in January 2013 for two seasons before eventually being sold to Sampdoria who in turn sold him to Sassuolo in July 2015.
Since joining the Neroverdi Duncan has featured 71 times across all competitions scoring twice in the process.
