Former Inter loanee Lisandro Lopez has shared his disappointment in an interview with Portuguese news outlet O Jogo about his lack of playing time while on loan at the Nerazzurri.

“The time spent [at Inter] can not be considered positive because I did not get the opportunity to play as often as I would have liked. I could not show anyone what I could do as the manager Luciano Spalletti saw me as level below the other two centre backs, Joao Miranda and Milan Škriniar. They both performed to a very high standard for the whole season.”

The Argentine, who made just one appearance in Nerazzurri following a January loan switch from Benfica, has come in to links with Genoa lately and he admitted he has to go and speak to his manager at Benfica to see where he stands before thinking about his future elsewhere.

“At Benfica I have a contract until 2021, so now I’ll go to Lisbon and I’ll talk to the manager Rui Vitoria to figure out whether or not he will count on me next season. After this I will evaluate the options and offers that will come from other clubs.”
