Galatasaray President Mustafa Cengiz, was interviewed by Turkish portal Sporx regarding the rumors circulating that an agreement has been reached with Inter concerning the transfer of Yuto Nagatomo.

When asked Cengiz stated that: “Nagatomo is a person we value a lot, when we look to sign players we do not only look at the type of player on the pitch but also at a player’s personality. We have offered Nagatomo everything we could have offered. Inter have listened to our porposal however they asked for twice as much as we offered them´, they did something very regrettable. Now we are waiting for their reply. However, Yuto has openly declared that he wants to play here with us.”

In conclusion Cengiz stated that: “I can’t say that this deal will be made, our manager Fatih Terim is occupied with these things and so is the transfer market team that are making healthy steps forward.”
