A transfer market summit between Inter and Sassuolo is reportedly underway today and according to Italian media outlet Sky Sport Italia, the two Serie A clubs have a lot to discuss.

Italian winger Matteo Politano has been on Inter’s shopping list for some time, and is seen as the first alternative to Brazilian superstar, Malcom. With Bordeaux resisting the Nerazzurri’s advances so far, the club could look to the Italian to reinforce the right wing.

Furthermore, Inter want a homecoming for their former youth product Alfred Duncan. The Ghanaian midfielder would offer Spalletti the defensive characteristics lacking in the team since the departure of Geoffrey Kondogbia, whilst also helping the club meet its quota for homegrown players for next seasons UEFA Champions League.

Incoming transfers are not all the Nerazzurri will discuss, however. The club is very interested in Argentine starlet Nicolas Gonzalez, who is currently at Argentinos Juniors and would like to offer the player to Sassuolo on a one-year loan to help him acclimatize to the Serie A.

Finally, the Neroverdi are also interested in purchasing Inter’s Primavera starlet Davide Merola according to the report.
