Inter would like to include forward Andrea Pinamonti as part of a deal to sign midfielder Radja Nainggolan from Roma, according to Premium Sport.

Pinamonti played just 58 minutes of football for the Nerazzurri’s first team last season and is expected to leave the club this summer in search of game-time, having rejected a permanent move to Sassuolo on the final day of the January transfer window.

Fellow Serie A sides Genoa and Bologna have been linked with the player in recent weeks but now it appears the 19 year-old could be set for a move to the capital, as sporting director Piero Ausilio looks to reduce the amount of cash Inter need to spend in order to sign Nainggolan.

The Belgian international scored six goals and made 11 assists for the Giallorossi during the 2017-18 season and has emerged as head coach Luciano Spalletti’s primary target in midfield this summer, as Inter look to reinforce their attacking options ahead of participation in next year’s UEFA Champions League.

However the club are unwilling to meet Roma’s asking price of €35 million and would like to use one of their young players as a makeweight in the deal, with midfielder Nicolò Zaniolo having also been mentioned.

According to Premium Sport, the two clubs made contact again on Monday and would both like to complete a deal for Nainggolan, although for the moment Roma only want cash.
