As a return to Inter for Joao Cancelo is looking all but impossible, the Nerazzurri are looking to Chelsea’s Italian international full-back Davide Zappacosta as his replacement according to several reports.

Italian outlet TMW reports that Inter have met with the player’s agent Alessandro Lucci, to discuss the future of the former Torino player who had a largely disappointing season this past year with Premier League outfit Chelsea where he struggled to find playing time under Antonio Conte.

However, Zappacosta was not the only reason for the meeting between Lucci and Inter earlier this afternoon FcInterNews report. According to the media outlet, the contract renewal of Lucci’s other client, Matias Vecino, was also being discussed with the agent asking for a contract for his client that will expire at the end of June 2023.

FcInterNews report further that Zappacosta now joins Sampdoria’s Bartosz Bereszyński and Atletico Madrid’s Šime Vrsaljko as candidates to replace Joao Cancelo with the Croat probably costing around €20 million.
