Mateo Kovacic has grown tired of being a reserve at Real Madrid and is seeking an exit from the Santiago Bernabeu stadium according to a report from Spanish outlet Radio Cope.

The former Inter midfielder finds himself starting from the bench more often than he would like but despite this Real Madrid have absolutely no intention of selling the Croatian midfielder, who still has three years left to run on his current contract with the Spanish capital based side.

Recent reports in the Spanish media have suggested that Los Blancos are looking to add Bayern Munich and Spain international Thiago to their ranks which would further lessen Kovacic’s playing time.

The 24-year-old, who joined the current Champions League winners back in 2015 in a €40 million deal, made a total of 36 appearances last term and contributed three assists and is now currently in Russia with the Croatian national team at the World Cup.
