Inter vice president Javier Zanetti is confident that incoming signing Lautaro Martinez has all that it takes to be a success at Inter.

“He is a young player with a great future ahead of him. He showed when he first started playing in Argentina and now has a great challenge ahead of him: getting used to Italian football, which is not easy. I have no doubt that with his qualities he will have no problem in continuing to demonstrate his quality,” Zanetti told guests at the Case del Futbol of Conmebol event.

Inter secured the signature of the highly rated 20-year-old striker in recent months and have an agreement in place with his soon to be former team, Racing Club. All that remains is for the deal to officially be confirmed by Inter and that confirmation is expected to arrive soon after the transfer window opens at the start of July.
