Matias Vecino is currently in Russia with his country Uruguay on World Cup duty and despite an indifferent first season at the San Siro he has still managed to attract some admirers.
Among those admirers are a list of Premier League clubs in England. According to various UK media outlets, Tottenham, Chelsea and Everton are said to be keen on bringing the former Fiorentina player to play in the Premier League. The player’s agent, Alessandro Lucci, was at Inter’s headquarters this week but not to discuss a possible contract extension until 2023, but instead to report to the club that there has been some interest form the Premier League sides.
It is thought that the pending move of Maurizio Sarri to Chelsea has prompted their interest in the Uruguayan who managed Vecino during their time together at Empoli in Serie A during the 2014-2015 season when Empoli finished in 14th place and avoided relegation.
