Inter coach Luciano Spalletti will soon extend his contract with the Nerazzurri according to Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport who in today’s paper reports that “The topic of Spalletti’s stay at Inter has only lightly been touched upon.”
Some of the doubts were cleared after Radja Nainggolan’s arrival in Milano, a player Spalletti wanted at all costs and which resulted in a very satisfied coach. With a very different market taking place in comparison to Spalletti’s last two, it could speed up his renewal which is believed to extend his stay from the current deal which expires at the end of June 2019 to 2 more seasons.
However, this might have to wait until after all other transfer targets have been bought, considering the amount of work and stress Ausilio is currently under.
With 2-3 more players still needed to make this a competitive team and the contract renewals of multiple players to be concluded, patience will be needed until the fans can rejoice in the security they have under Spalletti. One thing can be for sure though, Nainggolan is exactly what this team needed and who Spalletti wanted.
