Miranda has revealed that Palmeiras have made contact with him over a potential transfer but he quickly moved to reaffirm his commitment to Inter in an interview with Canal Pilhado.
“Palmeiras are a great club, in both financial and structural terms. They are a club that have grown a lot in recent years and it is normal that they are looking for players still playing at a high level in Europe. I had some conversations with someone close to Palmeiras, but I explained my situation and the dialogues did not continue past that.”
The veteran central defender, who will celebrate his 34th birthday in a few months time, has also drawn interest from Saudi Arabian outfit Al Hilal and more recently Galatasaray but has clear ambitions to remain with Inter for now.
My priority is to stay in Europe. I have a contract with Inter and I will try to honour this contract at the moment. Things in football change quickly. In two days I could change my mind if there is a convincing offer to return to Brazil but today I find it very difficult.”
