Inter are speeding up the club’s interest in Atletico Madrid’s Croatian international full-back Sime Vrsaljko according to a report by Italian TV Channel SportMediaset.

According to the report, Inter are working hard on signing the former Sassuolo player who is currently representing Croatia at the FIFA World Cup in Russia. The Nerazzurri have reportedly made an offer around €15 million for the player whilst the La Liga outfit value the player at €20 million.

SportMediaset report further that Inter see the former Genoa and Sassuolo full-back as the perfect replacement to Joao Cancelo who Inter were unable to redeem and has now joined Juventus by all accounts.

Vrsaljko joined Genoa in July 2013 for a reported fee of €4.6 million but moved to Serie A rivals Sassuolo one year later after having made 22 performances in the Serie A for the Grifoni. The Croatian player became an instrumental part of the Neroverdi defence over the next two seasons helping the club finish a record high 6th in the Serie A before being sold to Atletico Madrid for an undisclosed sum.
