Matteo Politano could undergo his Inter medical tomorrow or Saturday if Inter and Sassuolo can find an agreement during today’s meeting, Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio reports.

The 24-year-old winger is currently on his honeymoon but would be returning early to complete the move before June 30 so to help Inter’s books.

There was an initial agreement reached yesterday between the clubs on the basis of a €5 million loan with a redemption option exceeding the €20 million mark. As part of the deal, Inter will also send some young players to the Neroverdi.

Other reports in the media have suggested Primavera duo Gabriele Zappa and Davide Merola would be used in the deal but Di Marzio says Jens Odgaard, Lorenzo Gavioli and or Andrea Adorante could and are more likely to be used instead. It is understood that Sassuolo have already held talks with Odgaard’s representatives over possibly joining the club.
