Inter will stand a strong chance of landing Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele this summer if the player does not complete a move to China in the next fortnight, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Dembele will officially enter the final year of his contract with the Premier League club on Sunday and is thus likely to be sold this summer so Spurs do not lose him for free, with Inter known to be strongly interested in acquiring the 30 year-old’s services.

Luciano Spalletti has identified the Belgian international as the ideal man to reinforce his midfield options as he believes he would provide the physicality and order Inter need, but the Milan-based publication reported on Friday that Dembele would first like to wait for offers from Chinese clubs.

Should no tempting offers arrive before the closure of the transfer window in China in mid-July, however, Inter would then have a great chance of convincing the player to move to Italy.
