Cagliari are waiting for a ‘yes’ from Nico Gonzalez in order to move forward with the deal that is being completed in unison with Inter according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Argentinos Juniors forward is lacking a European passport and Inter are relying on Cagliari to help them sign the 20-year-old, who will spend a season or perhaps two on loan with the Sardinian club before being transferred to Inter, similarly to how Inter signed Julio Cesar back in 2005.

The Milan based newspaper also report that Inter youngster Andrea Pinamonti is subject to interest from newly promoted Empoli, who are looking to acquire him on a loan with redemption basis that would also see Inter have a buy back option. Empoli are joined by both Genoa and fellow promoted side Parma in courting the 19-year-old, who has struggled for first team playing time due to being behind Mauro Icardi in the pecking order.
