Inter face competition in their bid to sign Atletico Madrid full-back Sime Vrsaljko after the player’s agent made contact with Manchester United and Roma on Sunday, according to Premium Sport.
Vrsaljko has made 54 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga outfit since signing from Sassuolo in 2016 and is thought to be one of the Nerazzurri’s primary targets in the right-back position following the departure of Joao Cancelo, who completed a move to Juventus last week.
However Inter are not the only club monitoring the player, who is currently representing Croatia at the FIFA World Cup in Russia, with Manchester United and Roma also reported to be keen on acquiring his services.
According to Premium Sport, Vrsaljko’s agent Giuseppe Riso made contact with the two clubs for the first time on Sunday, with Roma having identified the 26 year-old as a potential replacement for Alessandro Florenzi, who still has not extended his contract with the Giallorossi.
