Inter have contacted Matteo Darmian’s agent in a bid to work out if there are margins for a deal to be done with Manchester United according to a report from Sky Sport Italia’s transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Italian international is one of many on Inter’s shortlist to improve the right back position in the team ahead of the coming season and Inter wish to understand if they can sign Darmian on a loan with a huge loan fee attached.

Di Marzio however warns that this is unlikely to be enough to convince the Premier League giants who are looking to get somewhere in the region of €20 million for the former Torino player, despite the fact he has just a year left on his current contract at Old Trafford.

Atletico Madrid’s Sime Vrsaljko, Chelsea’s Davide Zappacosta and Barcelona’s Aleix Vidal have all also been linked to the Nerazzurri in recent weeks.
