Inter are to hold off making a move for Mousa Dembele until the Chinese transfer window shuts in 10 days time according to a report from Sky Sport.

The 30-year-old Belgian midfielder, who has just a year left to run on his current contract with Spurs, is understood to have communicated to the Nerazzurri that he is interested by the prospect of playing in China but Inter have done some research and have found that no club from China has actually come forward for him.

Once the Chinese transfer window is shut, Inter may be able to acquire him not only easier but cheaper than the north London club’s €30 million evaluation of him also due to the fact the temptation of going to China would have to be postponed for a few months. Not only that but come January, Inter could simply approach Dembele and sign him on a free transfer for the 2019/20 season, a situation Spurs would sure rather avoid happening.
