Former Inter Massimo Moratti commented on the comparisons made between Kylian Mbappe and Il Fenomeno Ronaldo off the back of Mbappe’s two goal performance in the 4-2 World Cup last 16 games over Argentina.

“I do not know Mbappé so well, but Ronaldo is the strongest player to have ever played in Italy. A comparison, because they played in different time periods, is impossible,” Moratti said when questioned by Gazzetta dello Sport on the matter.

Ronaldo is widely regarded as one of the greatest strikers of all time and renowned for his insane strength and electrifying pace that when combined was absolutely unstoppable. Mbappe meanwhile is one of the highest rated young prospects currently in the football world and was involved in a €160 million transfer between Monaco and Paris Saint Germain last summer. Ronaldo is a two time Balon D’Or winner and Mbappe is expected to follow in his footsteps and pick up the award over the course of his career.
