Following his first official interview as an Inter player, Lautaro Martinez has spoke to TyC Sports from his native Argentina about his transfer to the Nerazzurri.
“I am happy to have signed. I can not wait to embark on this adventure, no doubt it will change my life and the life of my family. I have had this dream since I was a child and fortunately I’m realising it now.”
Martinez proceeded to speak about Mauro Icardi who he is expected to play as understudy to in the beginning.
“I talked to him, he called me to welcome me. Now I have to keep working to get opportunities this year, I have to try to overtake him day after day,” a determined sounding Martinez said.
Inter confirmed the capture of the 20-year-old forward earlier on today on a five-year deal from Racing Club de Avellanda in Argentina in a deal believed to be worth in excess of €20 million.
