Rafinha’s agent Mazinho has revealed he and his client, who is also his son, have not heard from Inter in quite some time and confirmed that several clubs have enquired about his availability.

“We have not heard anything for a long time [from Inter]. Several clubs have called us from Italy and Spain, but there is still nothing concrete. For now he is a footballer at Barcelona and it all depends on them,” he told Calciomercato.it.

The Brazilian midfielder spent the second part of last season on loan with the Nerazzurri and made it clear that he has high hopes that he would get to join the club on a permanent basis. However, due to financial fair play, Inter chose not to take up their €35 million redemption option on the 25-year-old, leaving the Brazilian to return to parent club Barcelona. Reports in the media have suggested soon after Inter’s redemption option expired that they attempted to seek a new deal with the Blaugrana but the Spanish side were not up for entertaining the San Siro club.
