Inter have taken the lead over Juventus in the race to sign highly rated La Spezia youngster Samuele Mulattieri according to a report from Sky Sport.

The Nerazzurri and Bianconeri have been battling it out to sign the 17-year-old attacking midfielder, who will cost no more than €450,000 to acquire. Other reports in the media have suggested that Englsh duo Everton and West Ham are both also keen on signing the Italian youth international, who made three first team appearances last season for the Serie B outfit.

The report states that Juventus made a bid for Mulattieri in the past few days but did not disclose the details of it and with Inter now ahead as per the report, it would seem like they have outbid their arch rivals for Mulattieri’s signature.

Last season the youngster made 26 appearances across all competitions, 23 of which came for La Spezia’s Primavera outfit. All in all, Mulattieri scored 15 goals and provided two assists.
