Joao Miranda is set to sign a new contract with Inter but the extension will not happen until after his participation at the World Cup is complete Gazzetta dello Sport.
The renewal has been in the pipeline for quite some time and the Milan based newspaper report that it could just be a matter of the veteran defender signing the contract before it can be made official.
In recent weeks Palmeiras from his native Brazil, Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal and Turkish outfit Galatasaray have all declared interest in signing the defender, who has been with the Nerazzurri since 2015 following a move from Atletico Madrid. Miranda however has rebuffed the offers and reaffirmed his commitment to Inter in numerous interviews.
Last season the 33-year-old was a rock at the back alongside Milan Skriniar, making a total of 31 appearances across all competitions and helped Inter to 12 clean sheets when he played.
