Inter captain Mauro Icardi reflected on the first day back at training for the upcoming season in an interview with Inter TV.
“After a month-and-a-half, we were missing the daily routine of training a bit. We all want to start the new season and play in the Champions League which had been our objective.
“It will be a training camp that’s different from the rest. We’ll prepare well for the Champions League, the league and develop chemistry with the new teammates. I welcomed the new players like I did before on the phone, they have to understand what Inter is like as a family. Today, we met up for the first training session and let’s hope to continue preparations in the best way possible.”
Icardi proceeded to thank the fans for their support.
“I thank the fans who go to the stadium, those who go to away games and those who watch at home from all over the world. I have to thank them for their passion for Inter. We can feel it, and we know that we have to do well for them.”
