Recently departed Jens Odgaard’s agent Simon Friis has confirmed there were other offers to Sassuolo’s on the table and refused to rule out a return to Inter in the future for his client.

“They [Inter] assured us that they could take him back in the future. They were very open to any eventuality. The important thing for Inter was that Jens would go to a team where the club and the coach could observe and evaluate his potential. There were also other teams but in the end we chose Sassuolo because they wanted to invest in him and preferred an outright purchase to the loan, and a club that invests on such a young player is an excellent sign for him.”

Odgaard left Inter in a €5 million deal as part of their bid to raise €45 million in capital gains for financial fair play purposes and Inter have retained a buy back option on him.
