Former Inter president Massimo Moratti has praised Juventus for the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo but believes that Inter have had a good summer transfer window as well.

Ronaldo will arrive in Turin for his official presentation on Monday after Real Madrid confirmed this week that they had accepted a €100 million offer for the four-time Ballon d’Or winner, with many describing the move as ‘the deal of the century’ for the Serie A champions.

Moratti added his name to the long list of famous faces lauding Juventus for the move on Wednesday, but insists that Inter – who have already signed five players for Luciano Spalletti this summer – have also impressed in the transfer market.

“Juventus have made an incredible signing in Cristiano Ronaldo,” he told Premium Sport, “but Inter have done what they had to do in the market.

“Let’s see if the distance between the two teams on the pitch remains the same as it was last year.”
