After an excellent season under Valencia coach Marcelino Garcia Toral, that earned him a solid spot as a starting player in Valencia, the year on loan for Geoffrey Kondogbia came to an end when the La Liga outfit exercised their option to sign the player on a permanent basis.
However, several European clubs are tempted to sign the French player, who has a contract with Valencia until the end of June 2022. Especially English Premier League side Tottenham has shown a lot of interest for Kondogbia and their coach, Mauricio Pochettino is very impressed by the box-to-box play shown by the Frenchman last season according to a report in France Football today.
Therefore Tottenham could be willing to activate the buy-out clause which would bring Kondogbia to Tottenham for €80 million as stated in his contract signed on May 24th. As for now initial steps have been taken and Tottenham has started talks with the player.
In the meanwhile Inter monitor the situation carefully and hope that a deal will go through, this because Inter have the right to 25% of the transfer sum which in this case could reach up to €20 million.
