Moments ago Inter’s latest signing, Croatian fullback Sime Vrsaljko, landed in Milano’s Malpensa airport where he was greated by Inter fans who were singing and chanting his name.

The former Atletico Madrid player walked past smiling and greating his new fans but did not have anything to say to the gathering media other than when asked in he was happy he simply replied ‘ sure.’

Tomorrow, Vrsaljko will undergo the mandatory medical examinations before signing his contract with his new club.

Yesterday Inter and La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid agreed terms over the former Sassuolo player. According to reports Inter will loan the player for €6,5 million for one year after which point the Nerazzurri will have the option to sign the player on a permanent basis for a further €17,5 million.

Vrsaljko is no stranger to the Serie A having already spent 3 seasons in Italy, one with Genoa and two with Sassuolo, before joining Atletico Madrid ahead of the 2015/2016 season.

Vrsaljko had an excellent World Cup with compatriots Ivan Perisic and Marcelo Brozovic who together helped Croatia reach the final where they lost 4-2 against France.
