Borja Valero and Radja Nainggolan could recover in time to feature for Inter during Saturday’s pre-season friendly against Lyon, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Both players are currently suffering with injuries sustained during the Nerazzurri’s first month of preparation ahead of the new campaign, which has forced them to miss the last few games and leave Luciano Spalletti with fewer players to choose from.

However the Rome-based publication have written on Thursday that they are expected to travel with the squad to Lecce on Saturday, where Inter will face Ligue 1 side Lyon in their second International Champions Cup fixture, and both took part in the team’s double training session yesterday.

At the moment there is no guarantee that they will play, but Valero is said to be further ahead in his recuperation than Nainggolan, who has been unavailable since he was forced out of the 2-0 defeat to Sion on 21 July.
