One of the reporters that broke the story regarding Inter’s interest in Real Madrid’s Luka Modric is Sky Sport Italia’s reporter Luca Marchetti who provided a new update regarding the situation.

Marchetti explained that: “There are several different reports coming out of Spain for the time being regarding Modric, but they mostly report that there will be a meeting between the player and the Real Madrid President on Sunday. We will have to wait until then to see where the two parties stand. Inter’s Directors have received indications that the player wants to leave Real Madrid.”

Marchetti then explained the situation concerning Arturo Vidal: “Inter were not made a mockery of, in fact it was Inter who decided against signing the Chilean player because they were thinking of Modric or maybe even another player who they are interested in.

“Furthermore, Asamoah can play in midfield as Spalletti could change his tactics and in this case Inter could sign another full-back like Darmian, as Inter have spoken about him with his agent recently” Marchetti concluded.
