It is no secret that former Inter manager Jose Mourinho is a huge fan of Ivan Perisic. Last season, Manchester United made a number of offers for the Croatian but were unable to convince Ausilio and Sabatini to let go of their player.

Now, after a series of impressive performances for Croatia at the World Cup, Mourinho has named Perisic as his primary objective for the transfer market.

The Daily Star goes on to suggest that the manager would be happy to offload 22 year old forward Anthony Martial in order to finance the bid. The player is currently in France following the birth of his second child, but Mourinho is said to have lost faith in the player as he does not believe he has the mentality to perform at certain levels.

The player is rumoured to be open to a move, however it will be tough for the Red Devils to sell him for a considerable sum given that there are only eight days until the end of their transfer market. It will be even more difficult, then, to lure Perisic away from Milan.
