Inter Not Put Off Of Modric Despite Being Warned They Have To Meet His Release Clause

Despite Real Madrid president Florentino Perez’s best efforts to try and put Inter off of signing Luka Modric, Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has reaffirmed the Nerazzurri’s interest to the Croatian international’s agent Vladko Lemic according to a report from La Repubblica.

Perez has claimed in recent days that unless anyone meets the 32-year-old’s €750 million release clause then Modric will be staying put with Los Blancos where he has played a key role in them securing three straight Champions League titles.

The report from the Rome based publication also states that having lost multi-time world player of the year Cristiano Ronaldo this summer, the Santiago Bernabeu side are by no means willing to give any discounts to anyone for any of their other stars. This could well mean that Modric and his representatives may have to try and force a move away from the club similarly to what Ronaldo did to allow him to join Juventus.
