Inter’s interest in Luka Modric is no secret but the mysterious Mister X still also remains an option for Inter in their bid to further reinforce their midfield and squad as a whole with the new season fast approaching.

According to SportMediaset, Mister X could be Manchester City’s Ilkay Gunodgan. The German international midfielder is a new name for the Nerazzurri that has grown in the past few hours and could cost around €40 million to acquire.

Manchester United’s Nemanja Matic’s is another possibility but it is understood that the Nerazzurri are not interested in the Serbian midfielder.

Other names include Celta Vigo’s Stanislav Lobotka and Zenit’s Leandro Paredes and it can also not be entirely ruled out that Inter would not go after former loan-star Rafinha too although the report suggests that any possible Rafinha return would be linked to Joao Mario being sold on and perhaps another player on top of the Portuguese international.
