In the coming days the Luka Modric situation will become a lot clearer for all concerned according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport who state that the player intends to leave Real Madrid and will communicate this with Los Blancos president Florentino Perez in a meeting scheduled to take place tomorrow.

Inter’s position remains clear and obvious and if Modric – who has already revealed his intentions to other officials at the Spanish club – is made available then they are ready to sign him to a four year contract and match the €10 million per season salary he currently earns at the Santiago Bernabeu where he has played since 2012.

In the meantime Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio is not willing to consider any alternatives – despite many other reports suggesting other names – to the Croatian international who was part of the Crotia team that finished runners-up at this summer’s World Cup in Russia.
