Inter have themselves prepared in the event that they are unable to land Luka Modric from Real Madrid having identified Leandro Paredes as an alternative according to a report published by Turin based newspaper Tuttosport this morning.

The 24-year-old Argentine midfielder is understood to want to leave current club Zenit St Petersburg and does ofcourse know Luciano Spalletti and his ways having worked together previously at Roma, which will hopefully benefit all involved and speed up his acclimatisation with the club should he join.

Tuttosport’s report goes on to state that contacts continue for Manchester United full back Matteo Darmian and the Italian international, who Benfica have tried and failed to sign recently, does not wish to listen to any other offers until he understand’s what Inter’s true intentions are for him.

Darmian was among a host of names linked as Inter looked to shore up the full back position prior to the signing of Sime Vrsaljko but with Kwadwo Asamoah seemingly set to be utilised as a midfielder instead of a full back, Inter have reignited their interest.
