Racing Club de Avellaneda president Victor Blanco returned to speak on the sale of Lautaro Martinez to Inter that was completed earlier this summer.

“We have sold him for 35 million dollars (€30.2 million). He is an irreplaceable player, even if Gustavo Bou remains an important striker for us,” Blanco said in an interview with Fox Sports Argentina.

“When Lautaro was at Racing he always behaved in an exemplary way, I would say that he deserves all the success he is having at a professional level. Everyone at Racing is happy for the economic aspect but above all for the sporting one. We are working with young people hoping to find another one like him.”

Lautaro’s youth team Liniers are due a % of the transfer fee but Racing and them are still yet to reach an agreement on the exact amount.

“We are talking to the Liniers management to determine the amount to be paid to them, I think the matter will be resolved soon. Until we close this negotiation the official figure can not be given.”
