After the news concerning a swap deal between Monaco’s Keita Balde and Inter’s Antonio Candreva broke last night, no real developments have been reported until now that is, when Sky Sport Italia’s transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, reports that the Italian international could be removed form the deal altogether.

According to the report, the former Lazio man is not convinced by the prospect of leaving the Serie A and moving to Monaco and Ligue 1. This means that the possibility for Inter to sign Keita Balde remains open as an agreement for the loan of the former Lazio winger is not connected to Candreva’s future at Inter although it is very likely that Candreva could be offloaded to create space int he squad.

Antonio Candreva joined Inter in the summer of 2016 for a reported fee of €22 million and has since then featured 82 times across all competitions scoring 8 goals in the process.
