As the transfer window looms more and more players are being proposed to different clubs without ever joining those clubs, such as Manchester United’s Spanish attacking winger Juan Mata being proposed to Inter Sky Sport Italia reports.

According to the report, the former Valencia and Chelsea man was proposed to the Nerazzurri who quickly dismissed the idea due to the players age and characteristics, instead opting to go for the player they spent much of last summer chasing but not getting, namely Monaco winger Keita Balde.

Juan Mata has never been a favorite of Manchester United manager José Mourinho who sold him to the Red Devils during his second sting at Chelsea for a reported fee of around £40 million back in January 2014. Since joining Manchester United the former Valencia winger has featured 186 times across all competitions for the Red Devils scoring 39 goals in the process and winning an FA Cup, a League Cup, the FA community shield as well as the Europa League.
