Luka Modric’s proposed transfer to Inter has caused quite a bit of stir at Real Madrid who seemed anythign but prepared for the news once it broke.
However now it seems the reigning Champions League winners have a plan in place for life after Croatian superstar Luka Modric, Spanish media outlet Marca reports.
According to the report, Real Madrid have lined up three players to replace the former Spurs man with and topping the list is Lazio’s Serbian international midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic followed by Bayern Munich’s Spanish international midfielder Thiago Alcantara as well as Tottenham Hotspur’s Danish playmaker Christian Eriksen.
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has been linked to a host of clubs these past few weeks after a stellar season with the Biancocelesti who narrowly missed out on Champions League football after a final day loss at home against Inter who took the 4th spot away from them.
Milinkovic recently stated that he is happy at Lazio but “in football you never know what happens.”
