Inter outcast Joao Mario’s wish to return to the Premier League could be granted by Tottenham Hotspur who are ready to make a move for the Portuguese international according to a report from British tabloid the Mirror.

Having spent the second half of last season in the Premier League on loan at West Ham, the 25-year-old has made his feelings known about wanting to return and is hopeful of achieving this.

The report goes on to say that Spurs are growing frustrated in their pursuit of Aston Villa winger Jack Grealish which has lead them to consider making a late loan bid for Joao Mario, who has several other suitors across Europe including West Ham and Real Betis according to other reports circulating in the media. Spurs have offered Villa £25 million for Grealish but the Championship outfit are understood to be holding out for in excess of €30 million to allow the 22-year-old to depart Villa Park.
