Despite Real Madrid doing their best to change Luka Modric’s mind, the Croatian has not been swayed and only sees his future at Inter according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

Today should be the day that Modric meets face-to-face with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez wherein he will reiterate what he told Real Madrid number two Jose Angel Sanchez and expects Perez to live up to the promise made that will allow him to leave. The meeting may not prove absolutely definitive but will go some way toward helping everyone understand what is to come in the next few days.

The report goes on to state that Perez is now a bit embarrassed having made this promise to the Croatian as it will make it difficult for him to backtrack and keep him at the Santiago Bernabeu. In addition to this, the report says there will be no dramatic break from Los Blancos for Modric unlike Mateo Kovacic but Modric nevertheless remains determined to move on to Inter who will make a loan with right to redemption offer.
