Real Madrid are convinced that handing Luka Modric a new big contract and increased status within the dressing room will be enough to make him change his mind about wishing to leave the club according to reports coming out of Spain.

Both Marca and AS, two of Spain’s biggest sports news publications, reveal that Real are in no hurry and think all will be resolved by the new contract but do however conceive that Modric is so determined to leave the Spanish capital and join Inter who have presented him with an offer that simply can not be turned down on both an economic and sporting level.

Inter have courted Modric for about a month and despite a shared desire to get a move done, Real Madrid are doing all in their power to try and stop Modric from leaving in a summer that has already seen Los Blancos lose Cristiano Ronaldo.
