During the official post match press conference at Atletico Madrid’s Wanda Metropolitana Stadium, Inter coach Luciano Spalletti released new information about the next whereabouts of Croatian international midfielder Luka Modric.
The former Roma coach was asked about his thoughts regarding the possibility of the Nerazzurri being able to sign the former Spurs player to which he replied: “I am most of all happy that a player like him is thinking about coming to Inter. The club has done everything that it can in order to make this transfer possible.
“I do not know where this will end. Should he end up not coming to Inter, which I do no think he will, it is because Real Madrid want to have a player of his caliber in their roster. We will still be a very strong team. Should Modric come to Inter we would end up being an extremely strong team” Spalletti concluded.
