Inter top transfer target Luka Modric is to be included in Real Madrid’s squad for Wednesday’s UEFA Super Cup match but will not start the match according to a report from Spanish news outlet Marca,

The reasoning behind this has nothing to do with any potential move to the Nerazzurri but simply because the Croatian has not been able to get as much training in as teammates due to being one of the last to return to training having finished as a runner up at the World Cup.

Modric and departed Cristiano Ronaldo aside, new manager Julen Lopetegui is expected to name the exact same side that won the Champions League in Kiev back in May.

Spanish duo Isco and Marco Asensio are battling it out between themselves to make it in to the team in place of Modric for the match that is to take place in Tallinn, Estonia.
