Reports from Spain have said that Inter’s chances of signing Luka Modric are diminishing for a few days now and it would appear that Italian news outlets are beginning to report similarly with Sport Mediaset the latest to do so.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez continues to block any potential move and is still yet to meet face-to-face with Modric, who in spite of all difficulties, remains determined to join the Nerazzurri.

The 32-year-old midfielder, arguably the best in his position in the world, has already met with Real Madrid’s number two Jose Angel Sanchez to make it clear he wishes to move on but he has been told that Real have absolutely zero intention of letting him leave, despite the fact Modric and Perez have a gentleman’s agreement in place that would allow Modric to leave, something Perez seems to be doing his utmost to avoid honouring.

Modric’s representatives are currently in the Spanish capital monitoring the situation in the hope of an opening that would allow the Croatian to end his cycle with Los Blancos and start a new adventure in Italy with Inter.
