Real Betis remain interested in Inter midfielder Joao Mario and are looking to acquire him on a loan with redemption option basis with favourable conditions as per a report from Spanish news outlet Estadio Deportivo.

The Portuguese midfielder is a player who has been specifically requested by Betis manager Quique Setien and they need the favourable redemption conditions so to not run in to any problems with the Spanish football association the report goes on to explain.

Inter signed Joao Mario for upwards of €40 million two summers ago from Sporting Lisbon and while they are unlikely to re-coup the entirety of the fee, they will however look to re-coup as much as possible and as per other reports would prefer an outright sale or loan with redemption obligation to a loan with redemption option deal.

Should they be unable to get the conditions they are hoping for the 25-year-old, they have lined up Benfica’s Pizzi as an alternative option.
