As deadline day looms for the Serie A Luka Modric’s transfer looks less and less likely but Inter have not given up hope, mainly thanks to the protagonist of this transfer soap opera who is adamant that he wants a move to Inter Sky Sport Italia’s transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio reports.

According to the report it is not an economic issue for the Croatian midfielder but is all about him wanting to try another experience before it is too late, which is why he has declined Real Madrid’s contract extension offers up until now.

This is why Inter and Modric’s agent, Vlado Lemic, will continue to work on getting the Los Merengues President Florentino Perez to keep the promise he made to Modric and loosen his grip on the former Spurs player up until the very last minute of the Italian transfer window, which closes this Friday August 17th.

Or as Di Marzio reported “I asked Inter and his agents and they told me they will try until the very end.”
