Former Sassuolo Coach Iachini Hails Inter Signing’s Matteo Politano & Radja Nainggolan

Former Sassuolo coach Beppe Iachini has given an interview about this year’s edition of the Serie A with Milano based sports newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport stating that: “Ancelotti at Napoli is a great challenge, but Juventus remains the favorites.”

Did you expect Bonucci to return to Juventus?

“No, and I was not expexting the sale of Caldara. The truth is that Juventus has decided to bet everything on the Champions League. Of the new Juve players I like Cancelo a lot, a year with Spalletti has educated him a lot and he can explode this year.”

Juventus primary rival?

“Nainggolan to Inter is a big signing, I have trained him and he is a warrior that every coach wants. I have also trained Politano.”

In your Sassuolo he was important for the team not being relegated?

“He reminds me of Bruno Conti. Last year Inter suffered a lot against middle-tier teams that only focused on defending. Politano has some abilities to unlock that kind of defense and also Lautaro Martinez has done well during the pre-season. Jus try to score a goal against a defense with Handanovic, Skriniar and De Vrij.”

What kind of Serie A are we going to have?

“An entertaining one, with a group of teams fighting for the Scudetto. Even for Juventus with Ronaldo it will be tough to beat teams like Atalanta, Lazio, Fiorentina and Torino. For me, as a viewer, it will be hard to choose which games I will watch.”
